This document sets out what data the Hala app collects and why.

No accounts

The app requires no sign-in. It collects no name, email address, telephone number or password, and there are no subscriptions or payments.

What stays on your device

The drug catalogue is downloaded to your device and searched locally, so search terms are not sent to the server. Doses are calculated and prescriptions are produced on the device; weight, age and prescription contents are neither transmitted nor stored by us. Favourites are held in your browser alone.

Technical data

The server records IP addresses and request times, as web servers ordinarily do, for service security and abuse prevention. This data is not used to build user profiles.

No tracking, no advertising

The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking. No user data is sold, and none is shared with anybody.

Deleting your data

We hold no data about you, so there is nothing to ask us to delete. Everything the app keeps, which is your favourites and your language and theme preference, is stored in your device’s browser and is erased by clearing the site data or uninstalling the app.

Intended audience

The app is intended for doctors and healthcare workers. It is not directed at children.

Medical disclaimer

Drug information and calculated doses are a reference aid. They do not replace clinical judgement or the product insert, and full responsibility for any prescription or dose rests with the treating clinician.
